HANDI QUILTER event @ Quilt Mercantile Sept.9th-13th JOIN THE FUN

Hello!  Quilt Mercantile's second long arm event of 2025 is here!  Maybe you missed our Facebook posts.  Below is some information just in case you want to invest in yourself....education is the key!  Own a long arm with Pro Stitcher and you need a class to gain some confidence?--we added Thursday September 11th.  Don't own a long arm yet?  September 12th & 13th are the two days set aside to have "hands on" fun with Handi Quilter's Amara 20 with Pro Stitcher.  Reach out to add your name in the drawing so you could win the two-day class for FREE!  This fully computerized system is SO MUCH FUN!

Embroidery/Applique on the Longarm September 9thWhy use a longarm for embroidery and applique? If you have ever wanted to stitch a design larger than your embroidery hoop, this session is for you.  The design we use in class was initially digitized to accommodate a maximum dimension of six inches.  Once you learn how to make a machine embroidery design Pro-Stitcher ready, you are only limited by your frame space. I started with a small quilt of nine blank 10” blocks and finished with a stylish wall hanging. By the end of class, you'll create an embroidered and appliqued 12" pillow cover to take home, and you can use this technique for many other projects.  We will piece the pillow top as well as attach the pillow backing…no sewing machine required!!  Maybe you do not own an embroidery machine…do not let that stop you!
The file we will use is from Oregon Patchworks at www.oregonpatchworks.com/embroidery/index...search for Applique Doodle Flowers...choose the 6x6 size and your preferred format. If you do not have a preferred format, choose PES. We will create a pillow cover entirely on the longarm including the backing.  Pro-Stitcher® Designer and the Pro-Stitcher® Simulator on a laptop or your Pro-Stitcher® tablet are required for this class.

Use this opportunity to quilt a small top and experience all the bumps in the road of the real world!   No experience necessary to join this class.
