Quilt Mercantile open by appointment only

Hi everyone!  We sincerely pray this email finds you safe and healthy.  Well, homemade masks made with quilt store quality fabrics are recommended attire.  In some counties they are mandatory as of yesterday, April 16th.  This puts our store in the "essential business" category.  We are opening our business so that you can buy these goods (by appointment only).  Give us a call and make sure we do not have shoppers above our square footage allowance at the time you want to shop.  You must wear a mask so that we can meet the requirements for due diligence in having a safe environment.  Just as before, we are happy to provide curbside service if you want to stay outside.  We have updated many of our products online.  You can place an order and pickup or we can ship.  Under a pound, shipping is $7.50 in the metroplex.  Up to three pounds is $7.68 in the Dallas metroplex.  Click here for free Riley Blake face mask with ties.  Click here for making in-the- hoop face mask on your embroidery machine.  Click here to get free pattern from P3 Designs for mask with elastic straps.

We look forward to the day that we can proceed along with business as usual.  We are happy to offer as much as possible to help you with our current situation.  We expect another small shipment of elastic tomorrow.  We are selling maximum 10 yd cut per person.  We have a list going for those that previously requested but please remind us if you are one of them!  It has been hard to stay organized these days.   We are posting online a new hand sanitizer product by the producers of Best Press (Mary Ellen's).  Would love to know your feedback.  We want to make sure that we order enough.

We are very thankful for all the support we have received during the last month.  One month ago today the Dallas Quilt Show was cancelled; everything has progressed from there  changing all our lives dramatically.  During this time several of you have bought Elna sewing machines from us at awesome prices (we have some of the quilt show models still available), some of you have joined the world of long arm quilting and bought a Handi Quilter machine from us (cyber quilt show is still in process with GREAT DEALS), many of you have done curbside service & online ordering and a lot of you have brought machines for servicing.  THANK YOU!!!  We plan to be here far into the future to serve your quilting needs.  With your support, this is possible.  The struggle is real but totally worth it!  Learned a very important new phrase from one of the many movies I have watched during this time.  REMEMBER....Don't live to stay safe; stay safe to live!!!  There are so many wonderful things to enjoy in life and quilting (and making face masks) just happens to be ESSENTIAL to living these days!

Be safe and wear a mask...
