Quilt Mercantile Fall information plus remember we are Closed Tomorrow for Quilt Market

Quilt Mercantile--closed for International Quilt Market October 25th

Fall weather is upon us and daylight hours have you have more hours to stay indoors and sew!  Keep your eye on our Facebook posts.  We have several quilt samples from V and Co with their new fabric lines.  We just received 42 new colors from Northcott of their Shimmer and Radiance line with metallic highlights in the fabrics.  We try to post new fabrics and pictures of the quilts as soon as they are available in our store.  We strive to be your "go to" store for fabrics, notions, sewing machines, and Handi Quilter long arm machines & gadgets.  We have added a couple new civil war lines.  We are headed to Houston to expand our civil war fabric lines, Kimberbell fabrics from Maywood Studios, and take a look at new categories from suggestions given by each of you.  Thank you for your feedback and your continued support!

If you have plans to attend festival, make sure to stop by the Handi Quilter booth to see the new Capri sit-down machine (click here to learn more).  We are excited about this new addition and can't wait for our store unit to arrive in December when they become available.  If you are in the market for this type of item remember two things when you go to market to look at your options for a long arm machine---we HIGHLY recommend the Handi Quilter brand for many many reasons AND we want to be your dealer.  If you buy from Handi Quilter in their corporate booth during festival at Houston, they will assign you a dealer unless you ask specifically.  Ask for Quilt Mercantile please!  If you are not attending festival, click here to see the festival special that we can help you with right here in our store (no need to travel to Houston).

We have an abundance of education for long arm quilting over the next twelve months.  Jackie Brown, who recently received a masterpiece quilt award, is available for private classes each week in our store.  We continue our ruler of the month series each month led by Jackie Brown.  Our goal is to strengthen skills while introducing brand new rulers with hands on experience opportunities.  Mary Fisher is starting her Pro-Stitcher Mastery series on Saturday November 16th.  We will have four additional classes in 2020.  The goal of this series is to teach you how to use all of the Pro-Stitcher features effectively and efficiently.  E-mail if you want more details on this education.  We have Susan Mandry scheduled to come May 15th and November 13th weekends.  We will have a Handi Quilter Truckload education event March 18th-21st with two national educators.  With two experienced technicians and all of these education opportunities, we will be here to help you learn and succeed as a long-arm or sit-down machine quilter.
