Quilt Mercantile--WE SERVICE SEWING MACHINES NOW!!!If you don't follow us on Facebook, then much of this is new to you! We purchased additional property in downtown Celeste in the Fall and Deven Tenney joined our staff on April 1st. Exciting right? We had no idea that the first quarter of 2019 would have so many quilt stores and sewing centers close their doors for good. The reasons vary for each location but the outcome is the same for you---if one of those stores was your go to place to shop and hang out---you need a new "quilt store home." We want to be that place for you! With over 17 years of servicing wonderful quilters like you, we are ready to provide you with a shopping experience like no other. And we have a retreat center just behind our store. (If you have a sew group that has lost it's place to gather, email us and let's work out a day you can meet here.) Come often to experience our warm and inviting Texas hospitality paired with knowledgeable staff that will help your creativity blossom :-) With the store closings, we have picked up a couple of amazing staff. We want to be your place for machine servicing. We are working to be a service center for more brands (hope to announce these very soon) of sewing machines. Starting today by appointment our technician (Ronnie has 24 years experience) services and repairs Elna, Janome, American-made Singers, Necchi, and featherweights. If yours is not listed please reply to this email and we will find an answer. If you find yourself with a Tin Lizzie (which is no longer in business), Ronnie can service your machine within limits of available parts. To answer one of the biggest questions of the day---WE NOW TAKE TRADES! Let us help you with sewing or long arm needs in this area. We have two certified technicians to service Handi Quilter machines. We service in-store or at your home. As a Handi Quilter dealer since 2009 and a winner of five HQ WAY awards--WE ARE THE MOST EXPERIENCED dealer in the Dallas metroplex and we offer the BEST follow up experience to help you with the adventure of being a long arm quilter. We also have the most experienced educator--Jackie Brown. Follow us on Facebook so you can stay current with all of our education opportunities. Our next Quarterly Quilting Club meeting is June 1st. We have the Handi Quilter national educator Mary Fischer coming August 1st-3rd for an education event you don't want to miss. We will have a store full of Amara machines with the Pro Stitcher during this HQ event. E-mail to reserve your place in any of these and we will send you more details. We will be at the Gainesville Quilt show July 26th & 27th with Handi Quilter machines so come see us! We are waiting on our replacement machines to arrive after the wonderful Mother's Day promotion that just ended. We have an Amara with Pro-Stitcher and a Simply Sixteen in store now. Soon to arrive--The Infinity and two Sweet Sixteen machines with tables and lights. The ruler club for the Fall starts in September. Please reply to this e-mail if you want all the details on any education we have for machine quilting. We are gearing all of our education to help domestic machines, sit-down long arms, and stand up long arm quilters improve their quilting skills. As stated earlier, we are growing our retail square footage. We want to hear what would make us your quilting oasis! We will have a survey soon and we hope you will have time to participate. OR if you just have a couple suggestions reply to this email. We have new fabric and notions arriving every week and try to keep up with posting pictures on Facebook so make sure to follow us on Facebook, Like our posts, and Tag us to your friends. We realize there are many quilters needing a new place to call "their store." Please spread the word about Quilt Mercantile. If you need routine maintenance or have a machine needing a repair--call and ask for Deven or email--we can help you with this tomorrow.
