We are excited to offer,for the first time in our store, a Hoop Sisters BOM for embroidery machines! The Elegant Elements 2016 EmbroidaBlock of the Month is an awesome project. We have our sample in process. Pam Hansen will have a short demo about the project on Saturday June 18th a 1 p.m. Our sample is being made with a mixture of bright colors and Rowan fabrics by Philip Jacobs. click here to see the original sample by Hoopsisters.
McKenna Ryan's trunk show containing three of her newest projects will be here next week!!! Magic in the Moonlight, Kringle's Kaleidoscope, and Anybody Home are three quilts you will want to see in person. Bring a group or join this retreat to make new quilting friends! Arrive at 10 a.m. on July 8th and stay until 3 p.m. Sunday July 10th for $120 lodging fees for the whole weekend!
Alice Wilhoit A-Z weekend retreat July 22nd-24th. Alice is a published author that teaches all over the United States. We are fortunate to have her in our area. Need help to finish or get motivated on one or more of your UFO's? Alice says this retreat is for you! Drag out those unfinished projects! You know, the ones you put away because you were stuck. Sign up for a retreat with Alice and get the help you need to complete those projects. Or just start something new. Alice has over 25 years experience as a teacher. She is an author, pattern designer and is very knowledgeable with appliqué, embroidery and crazy patchwork.
Eileen Urbanek retreat August 25th-28th. Paper Piecing the Judy Niemeyer way--Eileen Urbanek. Eileen is well loved for her ability to teach skills to help with Judy's complex pattern. She is an international certified instructor for Judy. She also is very happy to help you with any of these quilting projects: Stack-n-Wack, One Block Wonder, Jacob's Ladder, String Quilts, and Wonderful One Fabric Quilts. We currently have a waiting list for this retreat. Eileen will come twice in 2017. Send us an e-mail to add your name.

Brenda Jeschke Embroidery Machine Retreats June 17th-19th, September 23rd-25th & December 2nd-4th. Brenda would love to help you learn confidence with your embroidery machine. We still have some room in the April 1st-3rd retreat. Because this is a smaller group than normal (Spring is SO busy)--Brenda has agreed to work with any of you ladies that would like to improve your hand quilting skills. If you don't own an embroidery machine join the group and work on hand quilting all weekend! Brenda is a very accomplished hand quilter. She has won over ten fine hand quilting awards with quilts she has placed in quilt shows over the past 30 + years. If you want to concentrate on machine embroidery--All machine brands welcome. Beginner to advanced welcome. (Our June retreat is currently full. E-mail to be on backup list.)
Sylvi Sealy TUFFET retreat July 15th-17th!!! The designer of the hottest new project from Houston Quilt Market and Festival 2015, Sharyn Cole, praises Sylvi as "The Best certified instructor in Texas!" We are bringing her to Celeste, TX to teach you to make your own tuffet in a weekend. This is an awesome opportunity to learn from the best! Sylvi helped students make over 550 tuffets last year.
