Summer is flying by! We hope you plan to participate in the Row by Row as you travel this summer. We have our row on display on our Facebook page. (Hard to believe I know! Take a look and "like" our page. Hope to start posting pictures of new fabrics as they arrive and other items of interest.) We even have the very popular Row by Row license plate panels for our store this year. We will have our same hours of operation. PLEASE REMEMBER: We close every year the week that includes July 4th. This year we are close June 28th-July 6th.
Pearl Pereira of P3 designs is here for her bi-annual trip to teach at our retreat center. Her freezer paper starch method is so very successful for many quilters. We are blessed to have her teaching at our facility. We have waiting lists for her class/retreats in October. Let us know if you want to be on the waiting lists for one of these options. Dates are on retreat website.
We just received our Lunch Box Quilts trunk show. We have a sample of each of their wonderful embroidery patterns/disks hanging in our class room. We will have these quilts through the end of July. This is a great time to come see them made up. We have a July day class and retreat scheduled to help embroidery machine owners learn to use those machines to their fullest potential.
We have several new quilts finished and hanging in our store. Check out new quilt kits on our website using the link at the end of this e-mail. The pineapple quilt has been on the "to do" list for several years. Using Marti Michell's new ruler---no paper piecing!
We hope you will come see us this summer. Please remember that there is a BRIDGE out on FM 981. It is best to stay on Hwy 380 from McKinney until you reach Hwy 69. No short cuts this summer!

Quilt Mercantile open retreat July 16th-19th--We have ONE opening
Open workshop retreat with ALICE WILHOIT July 20th-22nd. Alice travels across the country to share her skills in all types of quilting techniques--applique, embroidery, crazy patchwork, and many tips and tidbits for piecing. Join this retreat to finish a project you just can't finish without some help! Cost is $223 for six meals, lodging, and teaching. A couple openings remaining.
Embroidery Machine Day Class July 23rd--If you have an embroidery machine that you need to learn to use this is the PERFECT class for you! Brenda Jeschke teaches about creating and managing your files and so much more. Look at our class description on quilt store website. Click on school house.
Embroidery Machine Retreat July 24th-26th with Brenda Jeschke. We have a possibility of an opening. E-mail to get your name on the waiting list.
