Embroidery/Applique on the Longarm – Why use a longarm for embroidery and applique? If you have ever wanted to stitch a design larger than your embroidery hoop, this session is for you. The design we use in class was initially digitized to accommodate a maximum dimension of six inches. Once you learn how to make a machine embroidery design Pro-Stitcher ready, you are only limited by your frame space. I started with a small quilt of nine blank 10” blocks and finished with a stylish wall hanging. By the end of class, you'll create an embroidered and appliqued 12" pillow cover to take home, and you can use this technique for many other projects. We will piece the pillow top as well as attach the pillow backing…no sewing machine required!! Maybe you do not own an embroidery machine…do not let that stop you! The file we will use is from Oregon Patchworks at www.oregonpatchworks.com/embroidery/index...search for Applique Doodle Flowers...choose the 6x6 size and your preferred format. If you do not have a preferred format, choose PES. We will create a pillow cover entirely on the longarm including the backing. Pro-Stitcher® Designer and the Pro-Stitcher® Simulator on a laptop or your Pro-Stitcher® tablet are required for this class.
